FALLING OAKS SWIM LESSONS

Falling Oaks offers swim lessons to members and non-members of varying abilities and skill levels.

If you have any additional questions you may contact the Swim Lessons Instructor listed on the Swim Lesson Form.

Group Lessons are $50 for members and $60 for non members.  Lessons are 30 minutes a day, M-F for two weeks.   Group Lessons will have a minimum of 4 students in order to be held.  

Private lessons are also available at the rate of $15 for 30 minutes for members, $20 for Non-members.   Private Lessons must be purchased in packages of 3, 5, or 10.  Additional children in the same household are $5 per lesson, with a max of three children.  Once you complete the private lesson form, you will be connected with a swim instructor.  Requests for specific instructors will be honored if it works out with the child and instructors schedule,

Session 1:  June 4 – June 15, 2018

Lesson times available:
Mon-Fri  11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Mon-Fri  5:00 pm –  6.00 pm

Session 2:  June 25 -July 10, 2018 (no lessons on July 4th or 5th)

Lesson times available:
Mon-Fri  11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Mon-Fri  5:00 pm –  6.00 pm

Session 3: July 16 – July 27, 2018

Lesson times available:
Mon-Fri  11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Mon-Fri  5:00 pm –  6.00 pm

Session 4- will be added if there is enough interest.

Swim Levels

LEVEL 1:

Objective: help students feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely.

Learn to float, kick, use arm movements, etc. with help of the instructor

No previous swim lesson experience needed

LEVEL 2:

To enter level two students must first have passed level one or be able to demonstrate the skills needed to pass level one.

Students learn to float without support and to recover to a vertical position

Students explore alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back which lays the foundation for future strokes.

LEVEL 3:

To enter level three students must first have passed level two or be able to demonstrate the skills needed to pass level two

Students will learn to coordinate the front crawl and back crawl

Introduce elements of breaststroke, diving, and treading water

LEVEL 4:

To enter level four students must first have passed level three or be able to demonstrate the skills needed to pass level three

Objective: to develop confidence in the strokes learned in previous levels and increase their endurance by swimming greater distances.

Introduce the elementary backstroke, butterfly and elements of the sidestroke
